The context

The law creates the demand; what is missing is capacity

Mexico generates 450,000 tonnes of end-of-life tires per year. NOM-161-SEMARNAT-2011 classifies them as special handling waste subject to a Management Plan, and requires municipalities, distributors and importers to handle them responsibly. Yet less than 10% is recycled today — because there are not enough local machinery manufacturers. That is why GITV exists: so more operators can process end-of-life tires with equipment designed and built in Mexico.

The complete model

We do not sell machines.
We sell a plant that opens on time and sells everything it produces.

These six pieces are not a catalogue: they are a single project in sequence. Most tire recycling plants that fail in Mexico do not fail because of the machine — they fail because they bought the equipment before the permit, or because they never found a buyer for half of what they produce.

The permit is the critical path, not the machine

Your line is manufactured in 60 to 80 business days. The regulatory file takes considerably longer. Si compras primero el equipo, se te queda parado en el patio esperando un resolutivo — con el capital ya comprometido.

The right order is the reverse: start the permit file the day you sign the machinery down payment. Both clocks run together and the line arrives with the process already advanced.

One site survey serves both purposes

The topography, soil mechanics, layout and material balance required by the environmental impact statement are the same ones needed to size the line and calculate the equipment foundations.

Contracting the permit file and the machinery separately means surveying the same site twice and paying for it twice.

Growth comes stage by stage, not all at once

You do not need all three lines in year one. Start with chips, which generates cash fastest, and each following stage mounts on the previous one without discarding what is already installed.

The permit, however, should be filed from the start at the target capacity: raising the declared capacity later forces you to redo much of the file.

Every output stream needs a buyer, or it is not a business

A tire yields three materials, not one. If you only find a market for the rubber, the steel and the fibre become a monthly disposal cost that eats your margin.

That is why steel and fibre run across this model: they are solved at plant design, not once they have piled up in the yard.

GITV is a founding partner of the ELTrack network

ELTrack is an end-of-life tire traceability network being built for Latin America: it connects municipalities, processors, manufacturers and citizens in a single data layer, so the fate of every tire is documented without paperwork.

As a founding manufacturer, GITV contributes the registry of the machinery it builds and the installed capacity it represents. The bet is straightforward: a plant that can prove compliance is worth more than one that merely claims it, and NOM-161-SEMARNAT-2011 will keep tightening on that front.

Where it is going: a directory that obligated municipalities can consult when looking for someone to hand their tires to, and an online verifiable credential that replaces each client's individual audit. The network is in start-up stage — there is no operating volume yet, and we say so rather than inflate it.
