We cut ASTM A36 carbon steel plate to your drawing, with ±0.5 mm tolerance and MTR plus certificate of conformance on every delivery. We quote against your RFQ and deliver finished parts — not bulk material. ISO 9001:2015.
The service
We do not sell plate. We sell the finished part to your drawing, with the documentation your quality department will ask for before accepting it.
High-precision cutting in carbon steel up to 3/8". Clean edge, no significant burr and no heat-affected zone that compromises the part.
For thicknesses where laser stops being efficient — from 3/8" up to 3/4" in structural plate.
Stated and verified. If your part needs a tighter tolerance, tell us which one before we quote and we will tell you whether we can hold it.
All internal cutting happens in the same operation: holes, slots and repeated patterns. The part is not priced by its bounding rectangle, but by what is actually cut.
Mill test report and certificate of conformance with every lot. Without them, your part does not enter an automotive supply chain.
Bending, machining, welding and electrostatic painting come out of the same plant. Our welding and painting are not certified — if your programme requires a certified welder or applicator, say so in the RFQ and we settle it before quoting, not after.
Capacity
The standard commercial plate in Mexico is 4' × 10' — 1,219 × 3,048 mm. We nest your parts on that sheet size.
| Thickness | mm | Process | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3/16" | 4.76 | Fiber laser | Sheet and light plate, ducting, covers |
| 1/4" | 6.35 | Fiber laser | Base plates, flanges, gussets |
| 5/16" | 7.94 | Fiber laser | Structural supports |
| 3/8" | 9.52 | Laser or plasma | Anchor plates, brackets |
| 1/2" | 12.70 | Plasma | Machine bases, bearing plates |
| 9/16" | 14.29 | Plasma | Heavy structure |
| 5/8" | 15.87 | Plasma | Heavy structure |
| 3/4" | 19.05 | Heavy plasma | Bedplates, load plates |
On metric sizes: plate of 13, 14 or 19 mm is not commercially available in Mexico. Steel is sold in inch fractions. If your drawing is in millimetres, we quote the next fraction up and state it in the quotation — so there are no surprises at receiving.
Documented quality
It is the difference between a cutting shop and an approvable supplier.
Mill document certifying the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel. It applies to a complete plate from a single heat lot and cannot be split or reused for another order. That is why your material is purchased specifically for your order.
GITV's declaration that the delivered parts match your drawing, in the specified material and thickness. It is the document your quality department files alongside the MTR.
The certification scope covers manufacturing. That is what allows you to register us as a supplier without an additional audit in most purchasing systems.
Specialised services provider registry with the Mexican labour ministry (STPS). Required to invoice services to formal companies in Mexico.
How we work
DXF, DWG or dimensioned PDF, with quantity, thickness and material. If you have an RFQ number, we reference it in the quotation so it enters your purchasing system cleanly.
We calculate how many parts fit per plate and the actual cutting path of each one. That is where the per-part price comes from — not a generic price per kilo.
Unit and total price for each geometry, with thickness, process, tolerance and certificates stated. In pesos or dollars, with a reference exchange rate.
Cutting, dimensional inspection and delivery with MTR and COC. If the lot repeats, we keep the program: the next order is quoted and run faster.
Before you request a quote
These are within your control, and we say them because a customer who understands the cost comes back.
If different parts of your order share a thickness, we nest them on the same plate and the offcut is shared between them. Quoting them separately costs more.
A full plate used at 90% costs the same as one used at 20%, but the per-part price is nothing alike. Ordering the whole year at once changes the number.
Cost follows the cutting head's path. A hundred slots cost more than the part's outline. If any hole is optional, say so and we will evaluate it together.
Send us the DXF or dimensioned PDF with quantity and thickness. We reply with a per-part price, tolerance and certificates stated.
