None of these machines is mandatory to run a line. Each exists for one of two reasons: it unblocks your operation, or it turns into income a material you currently pay to dispose of. If it does neither, we tell you not to buy it.

When the tire does not fit
When the tire is not conventional, the first problem is not shredding it: it is reducing it to a size the line can receive.
A mining truck tire is around 2.7 m in diameter and weighs close to two tonnes. It fits neither a shredder nor a debeader. It is cut first, in the yard, into pieces the size of a conventional tire.
After cutting, the process is the same as for any other tire.
Mining tire · OTR
OTR tire cutterPre-cutting in the yard
| Tire diameter | 1,400 to 4,000 mm |
| Power | 7.5 kW |
| Cutting speed | 2 cuts per minute |
| Machine weight | 7,200 kg |
| Dimensions (L×A×H) | 3,130 × 1,650 × 2,700 mm |
| Blades | High-strength alloy steel |
Mining, quarrying, earthmoving and heavy construction. They are few units per day, but each concentrates an enormous amount of rubber. An operation handling OTR can fill its monthly tonnage with very few units — and is usually paid to receive them.
Preparing the tire
Tires are prepared by size, geometry and bead type. Not by habit.
Sidewall cutting
Sidewall cutterLight tire
| Aplicación | Light tire, 13 to 24.5 inches |
| Power | 2.2 kW · 3 HP · 110/220 V |
| Capacidad | 60 to 90 tires per hour |
| Peso | 575 kg |
Pre-reduction
Strip cutterStrips of 3 to 5 cm
| Aplicación | Pre-reduction into 3 to 5 cm strips |
| Power | 5.5 kW |
| Capacidad | 1,000 kg/h · 45 rpm |
| Peso | 850 kg |
| Dimensions (L×A×H) | 1,300 × 800 × 1,650 mm |
Large tire
Large tire cutterTruck and trailer
| Aplicación | Truck and trailer · 900 to 1,200 mm |
| Power | 7.5 kW |
| Capacidad | 60 tires per hour |
| Peso | 1,400 kg |
| Dimensions (L×A×H) | 1,700 × 800 × 1,850 mm |
If the tire already feeds the shredder correctly, do not add a pre-cutting step that only adds an operator, energy and handling.
Preparing the tire
Both debeaders solve the same problem across different tire ranges.
Light tire
Radial debeaderCar, SUV and pickup
| Aplicación | Car, SUV and pickup · 900 to 1,200 mm |
| System | Single hook · hydraulic extraction |
| Power | 11 kW |
| Capacidad | 20 to 30 tires per hour |
| Peso | 1,400 kg |
| Dimensions (L×A×H) | 4,100 × 700 × 1,700 mm |
Heavy tire
Hydraulic debeaderTruck and trailer
| Aplicación | Truck and trailer · thick bead |
| System | Double hook · hydraulic extraction |
| Power | 18.5 kW |
| Capacidad | 40 to 50 tires per hour |
| Peso | 1,500 kg |
| Dimensions (L×A×H) | 4,200 × 900 × 1,700 mm |
If you mainly process light car and pickup tires, the shredder can take the rim inside. A debeader is justified when the thick truck and trailer bead punishes blades, or when you need to recover that steel separately.
Controlling the product
Bought only when you sell chip and your buyer demands a uniform fraction. If the chip goes straight to granulation, it is usually unnecessary.
Chip control
Classifying screenUniform commercial fraction
| Aplicación | Chip classification by commercial fraction |
| Power | 3.7 kW |
| Screen surface | 2,500 × 1,200 mm |
| Aperture | Defined against the buyer's sizing requirement |
The shredder's internal screen caps the maximum size of the chip. The classifying screen does something different: it separates the produced chip into fractions, so each one meets a different buyer's specification.
Turn waste into income
Every tire yields three materials, not one. You already know who buys the rubber. The question is what happens to the other two — because with no destination they do not sit still: they pile up in the yard and become a monthly cost that eats the rubber margin.
The most common case, and the most expensive. Loose wire is mostly air: a truck fills up with very little weight, so you pay freight to move empty space. And nobody takes dirty fibre.
Here both machines pay for themselves: you stop paying for disposal and start charging for material.
It is a regulatory time bomb. A yard with mountains of wire and fibre is exactly what an inspection looks for — and stockpiling with no documented destination contradicts your own management plan.
It also takes up space you should be using for finished product.
Then the question is at what price. Loose wire is paid as second-grade scrap; baled, it enters the steel mill at clean-scrap price. Dirty fibre has no buyer; clean fibre does.
The difference between the two is a machine, not a different client.
A tire is roughly rubber, steel and textile fibre. If you only monetise the rubber, you leave out material you already paid for, already shipped and already processed — and then pay to get rid of it.
That is why these two machines are not luxury add-ons: they decide whether your plant has one revenue stream or three. Best solved at line design, not after six months of waste has piled up in the yard.
Steel and fibre come off the line on their own, but in the worst possible form for selling: the wire travels with air and the fibre travels dirty. Each has its machine.
Compresses recovered wire into bales of uniform density, ready for loading and sale to foundries. Automatic cycle operation, no dedicated operator.
| Compaction force | 200 – 250 ton |
| Compression chamber | 1,000 × 750 mm |
| Resulting bale | 250 × 250 mm |
| Bale weight | 25 – 100 kg, depending on setting |
| Production | 60 – 90 bales per hour |
| Power | 22 + 22 kW (dual pump) |
| Control | Automatic per cycle |
200-tonne configuration with a 250 × 250 mm bale. The 250-tonne unit and larger bale formats are quoted per project.
Bale size is set against what your buyer accepts. Ranges from 300 × 300 up to 800 × 800 mm are also market standard.
Cleans the textile fibre by separating the residual rubber it carries. A fan generates upward flow as the material falls: the lighter fibre rises and exits through a duct; the heavier rubber drops. No screen to clog and no blade to wear.
| Capacidad | 800 – 1,000 kg/hr |
| Power | 5.5 kW |
| Turbine speed | 760 rpm |
| Separation efficiency | ≥ 99% |
| Material input | 3 – 4 mm granulate |
| Dimensions | 1,500 × 1,500 × 3,400 mm |
| Peso | 1,600 kg |
Standard configuration of 800 – 1,000 kg/h. Higher capacities are sized per project.
Pneumatic density separation, the same principle used by industrial zigzag classifiers.
The granulation line already includes a dust and fibre extraction system. That equipment exists to clean the rubber — it is what gives you 99% granulate purity. The fibre coming out of it is the reject, and it comes out with rubber stuck to it.
The machine 02 separator makes the second pass: it cleans the fibre itself so it becomes sellable. Two different goals with the same physical principle, and that is why they are two machines and not one.
Both machines are built to fit your operation: capacity, compaction force and bale size depend on how much steel and fibre your line produces per shift. The figures shown are market-standard configurations and serve for sizing.
Give us your volume per shift and the bale size your buyer accepts, and we quote against that.
The quotation is issued in Mexican pesos, before VAT and excluding freight to your plant, which is quoted against the delivery address.
Turn waste into income · steel
It is high-carbon steel wire, the same that gives the tire its structure. It leaves the line separated by the magnetic modules, at whatever efficiency your cleaning process achieves.
The main destination: it goes into the furnace as scrap. Price is not set by the steel itself but by how free of rubber you deliver it.
A local buyer that pays fast. Usually pays less per tonne than the foundry, but with no minimum volume or contract.
Recovered steel fibre is studied and used as reinforcement in concrete mixes. A technical market, more demanding and better paid than scrap.
Turn waste into income · fibre
It is often said that tire fibre is thrown away. Not quite: the fibre does have a market — the issue is that it comes out contaminated with rubber, and like that nobody buys it. The problem is not the material, it is the cleaning process.
Production of mats and insulation panels. The best-documented application for this fibre.
As an additive that lowers thermal conductivity and adds reinforcement. Also studied in hybrid mixes with the steel fibre from the same tire.
An asphalt additive that improves mechanical properties. One of the most active research lines for this material.
Reinforcement of expansive soils and moisture barriers in landfills, in geotechnical applications.
Sound-absorbing products that exploit the material's fibrous structure.
When cleanliness falls short of technical use, the fibre has an outlet as refuse-derived fuel.
It is useful, but its value depends entirely on how clean you deliver it. Fibre straight off a granulation line carries around 30% rubber particles. With additional screening that drops to roughly half, and that is where a technical buyer starts to care.
If the fibre comes out dirty and there is nobody to sell it to, the realistic outlet is RDF. Invest in the machine 02 pneumatic separator and the insulation, concrete and asphalt markets open up. It is a business decision, not a limitation of the material.
Tell us your volume per shift and how your buyer accepts it. With that we size the baler and, if you are interested, the fibre cleaning equipment.
Before deciding
A machine standing idle in your plant is not a good sale for anyone.
Light tires can go in with the rim. Justify it by thick bead or steel recovery, not by catalogue.
If the chip goes to granulation, the extra classification may be redundant. The shredder's internal screen already caps the maximum size.
First sell loose, measure the flow and bale when freight and price pay for it.
With four answers we rule out what you do not need and concentrate the investment on what actually changes your operation.
| 1 · What type of tire do you receive? | Car, pickup, truck, trailer, OTR or a mix. |
| 2 · What is the maximum diameter? | It determines whether pre-cutting is needed. |
| 3 · What final product do you sell? | Chip, granulate, powder or a combination. |
| 4 · What do you do with steel and fibre? | Sell, store, transport or dispose. |
We will not sell you a machine you do not need. Send us those four answers and the line you are evaluating, and we will come back with the add-on configuration that actually applies to you.
